About

Hello and welcome, my name is Jo. I am living an adventurous, creative life in rural Australia with my husband, our 4 children, a dog and some chickens. I am also a daughter, sister, niece and friend.

I love taking photos. Photos that capture and collect everyday bits of our everyday lives. I am the collector of our family's stories. I endeavour to hold onto the fleeting moments and memories of our lives with pictures and words. For this reason my camera (iphone or dSLR) goes with me everywhere.

I love mountains, flowers, books, cows, chickens, anything old or vintage, sunsets, art journalling, painting, sewing, scrapbooking, cooking, bushwalking, mountain biking and travel.

I love to create and express my journey creatively and I have dreams of creating a space for others to come together to create, share their stories and skills.

I am passionate about showing, giving and demonstrating to my children real love and allowing them to be all that they were created to be and I am passionate about enjoying the journey with my husband, learning to love him the way he needs to be loved.

Over the past couple of years I have been on a personal journey that has taken me to the places in my soul and heart that needed refreshing, rejuvenating, cleansing, etc. I am being stripped of layers that have in fact been covering up the me that I thought was not there. So many false beliefs covered up with rules, judgements and perfectionism. The journey has been a wonderful time of shedding some of  these layers and discovering a beauty that has taken my breathe away. It has been a time of loving my brokeness, embracing my imperfections and learning to accept the grace offered to me.  A time of finding myself, what was and has been there all along.  What a treasure that has been found.

This blog, originally started as a place to share pictures and stories of our trip to the USA in 2009, has evolved into a place for me to share my journey. My stories. My family. My creativity. My dreams. My everyday life.

My journey is not over. There are many layers still to be uncovered. There are artistic dreams still to be realised. There are life dreams still to be pursued. But that is my life and I am thrilled to be living it. And of course so very grateful to the God of heaven and earth who continually pours His grace over me and loves me just the way He made me.
